Open source office packages
Open SKM Agency Ltd. has carried out open office software package related tasks since 2004.
We are the exclusive Hungarian StarOffice distributor of Sun Microsystems since 2005. We also offer enterprise-level services for OpenOffice.org, the non-commercial version of StarOffice. Since Oracle's acquisition of Sun Microsystems the new name of StarOffice office suite software package is Oracle Open Office.
In recent years Open SKM Agency Ltd. has provided migration support for several state institutions, local governments, small and large companies in connection with the conversion of OpenOffice.org. Our most important migration project at the Ministry for National Development and Economy successfully completed at spring 2010. Experience has shown that there is no technological obstacle to the central administration to switch over to the use of open source softwares in the coming years.
